A word from our Host
Chief Executive, Tourism NI
Thank you for your interest in our newly launched Giant Spirit Awards.
Over the last two years resilience and collaboration has been the bedrock on which the recovery of our tourism industry has been built. Innovation has also helped to drive us as we recover from the effects of the pandemic. We have adapted to new ways of working, embedded an exciting new brand for Northern Ireland “Embrace a Giant Spirit’ and created a very successful new call to action ‘A Small Step to a Giant Adventure’.
We are now facing a new set of challenges and while demand in the short term is buoyant, it is important that we remain competitive and continue to be perceived as a value for money destination.
The work of our industry has been beyond value and we believe it is vital that the people, places and organisations that contributed to this success continue to be rewarded.
Our annual awards are about recognising the very best within our industry, and Tourism NI is keen to encourage businesses of all sizes to enter. Attempting to win recognition for your tourism product or service typically involves a review of performance and the identification of your core strengths. While this is never a wasted exercise, it also carries the potential to gain an independent and prestigious accolade for your tourism offering, professionalism and hard work.
Achieving an award has been proven to bring business benefits, so if you’ve got a tourism product, service, team or individuals worthy of recognition then we want to hear from you.
Good luck with your application.
